Thoughts on the Squeelers GameOctober 18, 2009 7:57 pm
1 The wildcat has potential as long as Cribbs uses his arm once in a while. 2 Run, run, pass is not successful. It is too predictable. The OC needs to realize this or pack up his office. 3 Cribbs is the shiznit. Show the man some money. 4 DA is not the QB to lead this team. As painful as it is to watch I think BQ has to be in there to learn and develope. The only touch I saw on a DA pass today was one he threw away out of bounds. Everything else had a flaming tail to it. 5 Our underneath coverage is horrible. We got picked apart underneath all day long with LB covering recievers while the safties were way downfield. 6 Open field tackling by our DB's is embarrassing. 7 The O-line is doing a very good job compared to the first two games. 8 The receiving corps need to stand 10 feet in front of a football throwing machine for 3 days straight with no breaks. Cath the damn ball!!!! 9 Penalties are no longer the factor they used to be and this pleases me very much. 10 Our D-line gets a game ball for only allowing 140 yds against a strong running team. Again, thanks for letting me post in here. Go Browns!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Category: NFL Tags: Cleveland Browns

WOW...I'm glad to see him go actually, but I REALLY wanna know what draft picks we are getting... Category: NFL So, What was the difference?October 6, 2009 1:21 pm
So, now that we have the Bengals game in the books, I ask one simple question: What was the difference this past week? Was it Daboll's improved play calling? Was it Derek Anderson? Was it Mangini's involvement? Was it Jerome Harrison? Was it Josh Cribbs? Defense? What was it? Category: NFL Free Tickets to Sundays Game VS the Bengals..October 2, 2009 2:31 pm

Well folks, it's already been 10 years since the Browns rejoined the elite of the NFL AFC North. Unfortunately, the BROWNS have been anything but elite. Having rejoined the NFL in the year 1999, the BROWNS were nothing more than EXPANSION team; and as you are all aware, they've played no better than an expansion team ever since. We did have a very brief break in the action back in 2007 that shows when you have an abundance of highly talented receivers in the NFL, even bad teams can look good. The coaching staff of the good 'ol days was gone; Palmer, Davis, Crennel, and Mangini certainly don't even come close to Brown , Rutigliano , Collier , and Schottenheimer [ and boys and girls even his famous offensive coordinating brother, who Modell despised ]. The combined effort of Davis, Palmer, and Crennel has set this franchise back a good six years [ although I should really give credit to Phil Savage for the true setback ]. I always thought we hit bottom when Crennel hired his buddy, Maurice Carthon, as offensive coordinator. Boy was I wrong!! Mangini's hand picked coordinator shed new lows with a sneak called on 1st-n-10. I don't know how long we have to swallow our pride, but it keeps getting harder and harder to do. It's not the fault of Chris Palmer, or Butch Davis, or Eric Mangini, or Dwight Clark, or Phil Savage [ boy, I hated to type thet in ]. What this all boils down to is the ownership of the BROWNS has no concept of what it takes to run the organization. Al Lerner knew he messed-up big time when he agreed with Modell 15 years ago. He tried his best to correct that mistake. As for "sonny-boy" Lerner, all he has is daddy's money. He's got no more football savy any more than I do. He has no right to be owner of the BROWNS. If you're manager of a bank and hire a former convicted criminal. Who do you blame when the bank gets robbed?? Huh?? You certainly can't blame the former convicted criminal now can you? We can point fingers at the current coach and General Manager all we want, but it was the idiot that hired them in the first place who should be taking the heat. The only way things are going to change here in Cleveland is if "sonny-boy" Lerner seel s the team to someone having a clue on how the run an NFL Franchise. Then, and ONLY then, will the BROWNS begin to resemble the BROWNS of old. Category: NFL |
